Digital Health Provider Let’s Talk Interactive Annouces HIPAA Compliance

On April 13, 2022, Let’s Talk Interactive released a statement announcing they have become officially HIPAA compliant.

About HIPAA Law

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a law first established in 1996. Healthcare entities that are subject to HIPAA law must adhere to standards outlined in various regulations and rules that protect sensitive healthcare information which HIPAA defines as Protected Health Information (PHI). These standards are imperative to the healthcare industry, ensuring healthcare consumers are protected from their medical information being compromised. If healthcare entities are found to not be fully compliant with HIPAA Law, they are penalized in accordance with the severity of their nonadherence. Additionally, healthcare entities will be punished if they are at fault for a breach in PHI through internal or external means.

Using Compliancy Group’s procedures, Let’s Talk Interactive have achieved HIPAA compliance, confirmed by the awarding of the HIPAA Seal of Compliance by the organization. The seal of approval was awarded following a six-stage risk analysis of Let’s Talk Interactive, in addition to some amendments to the practices of the healthcare entity. The Compliancy Group offers ‘The Guard’, a form of HIPAA compliance tracking software. The goal of the software is to monitor healthcare entities proceedings and ensure they adhere to HIPAA law, including the following acts and rules:

  • HIPAA Omnibus Rule
  • HITECH Act
